this is a very good question. i wonder it myself often.

a jaani is rather like a djinn, but more penguin-like. jaanis are quite fun-loving and curious, and express a range of emotions as humans do.

i have encountered this mystical creature only once or twice. i recommend talking to a jaani if you get the chance.
